Found this cute little chap wandering around the grounds of Harewood house yesterday!

They are cute little things. There's a family in our garden that come out following each other around 2200. It's like a little hedgehog train.

Really surprised he was out at 1 in the afternoon. Really small only about 10cm long.

Not too bothered about me and the missis crawling towards him on the ground. He ducked down but didn't go into 'the ball' after a few minutes he relaxed again and bimbled off again. Surprising how fast they can move!

Really made our day. We live in the country but the layout of the garden means we don't get hedgehogs in the garden.

Certainly do. Doesn't take much to make a garden a bhit more hedgepig friendly. They are obviously about too, and using it already, so even less work.
