Uses for Quatz?

I have recently found an abundant supply of quartz and having found this little treasure trove, I was wondering besides fulfilling some of my girlfriends jewellery making needs. Is there any Bushcraft uses for it? The size of the chunks vary from small or large and of every shape. Any ideas or suggestions anyone has would be very much appreciated. Thank you kindly in advance.

im sure i read somewhere on here that it can be used to make a fire the flint and steel way but use the quartz instead of flint

It can be knapped (works marvellous) and firestorm uses them as a drill tips.

Seems to be true as I found a quartz arrowhead in a ditch in West Virginia ages ago. (Well, years, if not ages.)

Can strick sparks from steel with it.
