He's been on ITV for about three years now. One series of Survival and three series of Wild Britain.
unfortunately (pitchforks ready) unless he's demonstrating/describing practical tasks, his on screen persona is a little dull for my tastes. its all repetitive observation of well documented fauna and behaviours.
if he does a special on 'nebria nivalis' then i'll watch. but its horses for courses really.

The BBC wanted him to continue making the same programmes. He wanted to make wildlife documentaries. ITV wanted him and they made the deal.
Not impressed! Not that i don't like wildlife docs, When i hear rays on i think of bushcraft and survival? oh well back to bear grylls 
Mmmm, just watched it, same old I'm afraid, even starting to whisper like ole D. Attenborough (sp ?).
Personally I am not into this type of Mears its all been done to death, seals, otters etc. Why when there is so much more to do on bushcraft that has not been televised, every man and his (choose an animal ) dog has done wildlife.

I liked how he said it was keeping his scent down. Obviously his is new
Enjoyed the programme for what it was but would love him to do some more bushcraft
...did it only last for 20mins?...i'd just settled down with a up of tea and it was all over!...much preferred bbc bushcraft ray

No, they haven't got an extended version again on this series. Shame, as the hour long versions were much much better.
