Got an request from a friend of doing something "ululike" as a tool for skin preparation. Made this model of a ulu from an old circular saw blade. My question is, should I leave the raw finish or do it more shiny? I got 4 ready for handle... :)

What would you suggest?

This is the wood being used, stabilized birch from the woods around the house and brass pins. Just before glueing. It´s ~2mm thick caron steel and it is pretty sharp at the moment, cuts the hair of my arm :)

looks good ( i keep meaning ot do a ULU )

I would keep the finish as is and put a shiny polished edge on
one thing I would change is to round the corners off the top edge I know i would keep Dinging my hand on them

Hi Duncan,

Thanks for the advice! You mean the corner where my thumb is on the middle picture?
