I never said Sandy takes orders. I think you do not know what you are talking about.
Let me tell you how I was able to see an available knife at least three times on his website, even though I was not even trying to catch one. Perhaps, you use this advice (which is not a secret by any means) and try not to be rude and aggressive towards others who are trying to give advice next time. You need to follow him on youtube and make sure you have your notifications turned on, so you get notified as soon as he puts a video on youtube. When you see the notification, go to his website, check the available knives section and there is an e-mail that you can use to contact him and state your interest in buying THAT knife. THAT is HOW you can get one!
Rubbish! Stop patronising me as if Im stupid. You said " I think if you mail him, he put you on the list"... whats that but taking an order???
And before you comment try reading peoples posts properly - I said above "Ive been checking his webpage for as long as I can remember". And how do you think I know how and when to check it? By subscribing to his channel and having ALL notifications turned on!! Not exactly rocket science!
2 weeks ago Sandy showed two classics that he said he would offer for sale in 'the next day or two' so I like thousands of others all around the world went into meltdown clicking on his available knives page every 10 to 15 minutes from 6 in the morning to 12.30 at night day after day trying to get to the front of the queue - for nothing!! Whole bank holiday spent on the smart phone. His web page hasn't changed for Weeks! No knives, No email address nothing! And You dont think I know what Im talking about!? Hows that for being rude and aggressive.... and WRONG!!? Pot kettle black mate.
I only hope Sandy hasnt had a problem which has prevented him from putting those knives up for sale.And Im pleased for the OP , the Signature Ed Stafford woodlander is a beautiful knife.
No thats not taking order. When you see a knife saying available in his website, you send him an e-mail and he will tell you that if it is available. And if it is not, then he will keep you in his list and next time if something is available he would let you know. That's my understanding of his process based on watching his youtube videos. If you watch his videos you will see that he always mentions people who has the first right to turn down a knife.

I ordered one from Ben a fortnight ago and he's not made it yet, He told me they are individually made to order and take 6 to 8 weeks so I'm not expecting it until end of June. Did you get yours S/h from a third party??
Just tried that, thanks for the tip - nothing, but I'll keep looking. Also got 2 specialist high end knife dealers looking for me. Nothing so far either. And there's a big difference between getting lucky and picking up a S/h one and them being 'available' to order or buy. Ive even entered a charity raffle for one in aid of CRUK. Search rialobran on You tube and #Donate, you never know you might get lucky too.
Still, I did find a member here who bought two last year brand new direct from Sandy. Maybe it was his way with words and attitude?

Damn but you got lucky there! Its a beautiful looking knife isnt it? The blue liners and thread set off the sheath and handle material perfectly. I hope you get many years of happy use from it.
Yes I did get very lucky! Came with the matching firesteel too. Yes I agree with you on the colour combination. I like Ed Stafford a lot but my reason to purchase was not as a fan boy, but the combination of desert ironwood and blue is stunning I think. I want a matching nomad now

I am. Most of your 53 posts here have been confrontational, some outright rude, so what I’m trying to say is wind your neck in. And this is from someone who also recognises this my own posts sometimes.
