I love tweed and wear it all the time - I have a keeper's tweed jacket that is bombproof and the most comfortable thing I've ever worn, and NO weather has come close to beating it; I also have a charity shop donegal tweed that's nearly as good...............BUT: For me, as soon as I need to carry anything more than fits in the pockets, they become a nightmare because of the tailoring used..........Interlining, I think it's called, stiffens the garment and shapes it for great fit 'till you try to carry even a small pack................even so, the keeper's tweed would probably be my Desert Island luxury! atb mac
