As usually stated just a happy customer, no connection etc, etc.

I have often wondered why people spend so much money on ‘specialist gear’ when there is considerable crossover in what we do with industry. The needs are the same, quick drying, rugged, comfortable fit and designed to be abused. Industrial clothing is also designed with protective aspects in mind, building sites being full of sharps and jagged edges. Industrial clothing is much cheaper because of the wide use and competative bulk buying by companies.

Knee pad work trouser with zip on and off hanging nail pockets and top loading kneepad pockets. Heavy hardwearing Cordura fabric knee patches and bottoms.

The pair I purchased were in 'stone' which is just about the same brown used in desert DPM, this makes them casual but unobtrusive in the woods. The polycotton canvas is very thick and tough, having cut a path through some very dense brambles they got the very worst of snagging and thorns, the trousers emerged unscathed. One thing that is not talked about in bushcraft is wet knees, I hate it. So I went for the knee pads. This proved to have several advantages. The first being a sensation of having warm knees in the freezing cold, the knee pads are industrial grade also very light, kneeling on stone and bits of flint meant no jabs or bruises on the kneecap.

They are also fairly resistant to water and do not readily get wet, but when wet dry very rapidly. The removable nail pockets are very handy for collecting tinder and keeping small objects. I liked the fact that one of the cargo pockets zipped shut, being paranoid about lost keys!
I would say they are a hybrid having all of the best features of military and non-military use trousers. One thing they don’t have is a tie on the bottom, but 5 mins and a bit of flat ribbon and it’s done.
All in all, highly recommended comfortable bit of very reasonably priced kit. The postage was next day delivery as well.

I've worn Regatta Outdoor trousers for over 20 years and they're excellent!

One pair I had survived a motorcycle accident that wrote off everything else I wore (Arai Helmet, Lewis Leathers jacket and boots, and Gold Top gloves).

The motorcycle was a write off too, the trousers were perfect! Road impact marking washed right out!

Just got these pants. Having worn them around the house for an hour my knees and shins itch. its really thick material and the knee pads seem too low and too far on the outside of the legs. Legs are also a bit baggy and too long for my size, I might try my hand at tailoring to make them fit properly.

On the plus side, lots of pockets, seem warm but I might need knee high socks to stop the material rubbing on the top of my shins (or bottom of my knee, whichever you see it).

Edit : After a night out camping in them they stopped itching, I guess they needed a wash.

Knee pad(s) worked in mud.
