Just in case anybody is feeling flush...

This is the first version of the Ute rucksack made by Hill People Gear in the US. Here is a link to the current model: https://hillpeoplegear.com/Products/CategoryID/3/ProductID/10

It is a very well made, very high quality rucksack with an extremely comfortable belt and fully adiback system and harness but I just don't use it enough to justify having it - it should go to someone who will use it properly.

It is in a colour scheme called Foliage and Manatee, which is a slightly green grey and a slightly blue grey. It has a large main compartment, a pocket inside the lid, water bottle pockets on the sides and molle on the belt. It is in very good condition having only been used for a handful of outings.

The current version costs $377 plus $117 for the belt, then shipping and customs adds another $100 or so, say $590 all in or £470. I would like to get £250 for this delivered in the UK including PayPal fees.

I will look back in my emails but I would imagine it is the 33" one. I will confirm.

I am pretty sure that the belt size is the trousers size that they match. Maybe have a few pies and let me know?

I think you are right. It's up in the attic right now but I will get an end to end measurement of the belt tomorrow

Someone should be biting gg012's arm off for this. Fantastic pack at an incredibly good price given its condition.

Not only are these packs very well made, very adjustable and comfortable to carry for heavier loads, they work as a load carrying system in conjunction with other HPG packs and pockets. I have this model and colour of Ute, along with two other pure packs and four pack/pockets. On the Ute, you can even remove the stays and use it as airline carry on.

Stuart, formerly of this forum, got me into Hill People Gear. He had been using Kifaru, as had I, until he had an encounter with a Ute user in Borneo and did a deal for the pack at the end of the expedition.
This is a video by Stuart, just some fun.

The Hill brothers are real outdoorsmen and they have an excellent Youtube channel where they not only talk through their pack designs, but also have long format videos discussing other outdoor skills and equipment selection and packing.

It's the shoulder harness on these HPG packs that make them so comfortable. Perfect shape. I have a couple of Tarahumaras and an Umlindi. I would be adding this to the collection, but my knees are in no shape to be carrying more weight. It really is a bargain though.

Yes, the harness is amazing. Apparently I have something called "too many rucksacks", whatever that is, otherwise I would keep it.
