Hi Wayne

I've done a 5 day course with Trueways, and really enjoyed it. It's very much survival rather than bushcraft. Yes I know they are two sides of the same coin, but don't expect to be whittling spoons! You'll do stuff like shelter building, fire making, water sourcing & purifying and making yourself known to rescuers. Most / all of which you'll do on a bushcraft course of course!

It really locked the principles of survival into my brain, which I consider very valuable. I've no experience of Woodland Ways I'm afraid.

Hope that helps

Backwoods survival scoootland I know it's a long distance... But you won't find a better team:thumbup:
Swmbo an i have just come back after a weekend of truly inspirational participation of being with the Backwoods team. Thal learn, primitive bushcraftin skills that will truly give you the ability to not only survive, but to eventually thrive an not want to be found. Don't get me wrong, but a weekend is not enough... Neither is a lifetime.... Their will always be more to learn, experience and practice, practice, practice but it gives you a taste of what is possible and with REAL people. Patrick his family, and team are all Tiptop.

I did the woodland ways course awhile back and the head guy there Jason is one of the nicest people I have come across and his team are IMHO very knowledgable and very friendly. The course worked at all levels and at everyone's speed question answered and any advice freely given. To be honest I would love to go back for a week course but finding time to do do. The location in Oxford was stunning and the wildlife, deer were great to track and watch. Anyway that is my opinion all I can say was it really helped and had such a great time with some very great people. Oh and by the way I have no affiliation with the company. I just thought they were great
sll the best
