True-ish, I won it at school (single bladed folding penknife sub 2") aged 8 but the teacher decided it was perhaps not suitable and swapped it for I can't remember what, so my brother (5 yrs older) gave me a 4" sheath knife when I told him. When I lost it he got me a 3" locking folder and taught me to ride a motorbike on the tracks.
