Hi,

I'm here at Eurojam in Hyland's House, and have found a good few clumps of burdock. I haven't been able to find it local to me in Ireland, though it is around generally in the West. I'm tempted to grab a few burrs for transplanting in my own play area: any suggestions, comments, advice???

Slan,
Mal

If you can't find it growing locally the chances are that it won't. I imagine the soils & local conditions do not suit it & I certainly wouldn't want to encourage anyone to start introducing 'alien' plants into the countryside. Have you got a roomy garden? You could have a go growing it the veg bed or any disturbed ground. It seems pretty hardy but obviously growing it in nice fertile, deep soil will make digging out the roots a whole lot easier.
