Trangia stand

Just found this at www.globetrotter.de a german outdoors superstore.

That's the mini trangia base. Pretty sure you'd need a separate windshield if it's even a bit windy (this is not voice of personal experience but a vague memory of reading a review somewhere)

I'd be quite tempted but I've never seen them for sale anywhere here as a separate part.

Look in the current Argos catalogue camping section - trangia burner support there which works on similar basis. quite cheap as well!

I wonder if the army trangia burner fits the stand. I might see if I can make a similar stand from a coat hanger. Now for rummage through the wife's wardrobe.

Looking at it I don't think there's any chance the army trangia would fit. Also wonder whether the hi-gear version is the same size (diameter) as a regular trangia. The stand also looks pretty big and doesn't seem to fold.
