I can't help with a source on your end of the planet, but wanted to ask, is that a 28" blade? It seems very long for what I'd use a machete for. What type of work will you be doing with it? I ask because you might be better served with an 18" or so blade. You would most certainly be able to find a sheath for the shorter version before you would such a long blade.

As far as price, there again, I'm pretty much useless for what you'll find in your area, but here in the States, they are usually very inexpensive.

Colin,

I got a 14" tramontina from a shop in Wells-next-the-sea called Walsinghams for about £5. Good machete but the sheat leaves a bit to be desired.
