top reflectors

hiya all now the i have one of these

now then in this thread which is linked below there is picture of reds lanturn with a nice top reflector attached and well i woundered were i could get one to fit the above lanturn cos base camp are useless or dont sell am and colman dont even make them by the looks of it or not that i can see of.

Look on ebay.com (USA site) and coleman reflectors come up often. The lamp in your second link is a british Vapalux/Bialaddin and the top plates are available from base camp for about £12 IIRC

Shame on you Base Camp for not stocking an item that isn't made!

I suggest looking for a large aluminium pie dish.. Chop out a hole big enough to fit over the lantern ventilator at the top.

The reflectors at base camp are for the Bialaddin/Vaplux lanterns

The coleman ones do come up from time to time on ebay but they are off older lanterns and not cheap.

cheers for the advice gents will search ebay or buy a pie dish cheers

Also bear in mind that the reflector will 'down light' your lantern and cut down general illumination in a tent so there are pro's and con's to consider, try the pie dish first.

I use alluminium foil to make a reflector for my Colman you can bend and adjust to any angle you need. works great and is cheap.
