Tom Clancy dies.

Tom Clancy, author of 'The Hunt for Red October' and the Jack Ryan novels has died.

Not really the sort of thing I'm reading these days but I remember when I was a lad really enjoying 'The Hunt for Red October' 'Clear and Present Danger' and 'The Sum of all Fears'.

Tom Clancy was one of my hero authors. Loved reading his books. Shame the films never did them justice.

A great pity, he was a great writer, I spent the early part of this year reading all the Jack Ryan books I found them really hard to put down

A real shame. I read them all and recomend them to many people. Without remorse is my favourite and had been recently thinking about reading it again.

Hand on heart, I have never read one of his books. Just one of those never got around to it sort of thing. I will have to change that.
