I like to believe that I am competent to sharpen any sort of gouge or PacNW native style carving tool.
They all have to be better than "scalpel sharp."
The very first damn thing that I did with the Speedy Stitcher was to stitch my finger.
I have never had to wield a tool as sharp as that little beast.
I have repaired shoes, tarps, aprons, wood carving gouge tool rolls . . . . . all sorts of things.
The S/S is as rough, rugged and reliable as it looks.
The YouTube video was a chuckle = same layered density of heavy canvas as my carving apron.
Easy work, watch your fingers, snug up the thread.
