The purists are gonna hate this one!!

  • Come along to the amazing Summer Moot (21st July - 2nd August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
Don't know to much about making myself but I do like the look of your knife. The handle is good and I'm guessing the balance has worked out right. I wondered about the thumb bit on the blade but that became a "d'oh" moment when someone posted the phrase "thumb ramp". Guess my ignorance shows.

Can I ask about the blade? It might be my ignorance showing but if you don't ask you'll never learn. What is the implications of the sharpened point at the top when it comes to legal carry in the UK? I know the UK knife laws are a touchy subject but I kindof had it in my head that if a knife was sharpened on the blade side and the psine side (even a little) it was banned even if you had a reasonable grounds to carry the knife.

Please don't go into the UK knife laws again but if anyone can answer whether knives sharpened on both top and bottom edges are ever legal use in the UK,

Sorry if this takes the thread off-topic.

Can I just say it is always good to see the handiwork of people who know what they are doing and do it well like Dazcon. Keep it up.

The false edge on the spine at the point is actually flat right to the tip. I don't think that the law would have a problem with it if you were out camping, bushcrafting or fishing.
Thanks for the compliment by the way.

Dazcon.
