I've read a lot of stuff about making knives, so I finally started my own knife.
The blade is made by Toni Oostendorp. I haven't used any power tools except a drill for the holes.

This is where I got so far:

Every journey begins with the first step, and even though the end of the odyssey is not yet insight, you are far enough down the path to smile and enjoy the steps already trodden. It's looking good so far, i'll be starting my own project soon and hope i have the patience to get as far as you have.

Make sure you post pic's when it is finished. Well done Flemish Fella! (or are you Whaloon?) :D

I've put the other scale on the blade and filed it down to the tang. I then inserted the pins and lanyard hole. I have to cut the ends of the pins of and shape the handle. Then oil it and I'm done.

It's finished. I'm not completely happy with the result, but it's good for now. I sanded the handle down to grit 800. I then oiled it and made my first fire with it today! Sorry, no pics of the fire, but there are pics of the knife!

I know it's not as fancy as a lot of other knife makes around here, but at least I tried :D
