what do you think this winter will be like?
just lately ive been browsing some weather forums and the discussions on this years winter are very interesting. some are saying it will be mild as usual, others are saying it gonna be a cold one. As much as i'd like these people to be right, its probably just what they'd like rather than what will actually be, still theres always the chance of a big freeze.
what do you think?

cheers gb

if old wives tales like, the winter's going to be harsh when there're lots of haws on the hawthorn trees are right, then it's going to be harsh, there're loads of them round here.

but as we were having this same conversation at work the other day, and someone used the great diagnostic tool, "how do they know?"):

cheers, and.

The trees & bushes are laden with fruit round this way too, but I think it has more to do with temp, sun & rainfall in the months preceeding ( certainly the rise of webbed feet in some communities locally would support this  )
