They are good, aren't they? There was a video link posted here very recently, a guy making them with a carving axe and a really nice foot-operated bench clamp. I'll see if I can find it again before you do.

i found one on youtuber that i think could be the same thing, he's got a pretty smart foot-operated bench clamp anyway, and isn't it smart, i fancy having a go at one of those at some point.
