As I've mentioned to Ian, I'll get over when I can but I tend to go up to Scotland or the Lakes for my bushy fix so don't want to commit to every month.

Ian's trying to get a bunch of 30 or so folk who can commit to a meet each month, kind of a syndicate. Probably best to speak with him mate

I would be interested for the occasional meet but it is too far for me to be a regular, I am closer to Rough Close and Northwood so tend to attend those meets more.
I wish you well Ian and Simon with this venture and sorry I can't commit to regular attendance.

I was one of the group with a friend also a member, it was a great venue, first time I have used the "Cocoon" what a great piece of kit, when you are my size (280lbs) no faffing about getting in & out of hammock & bag with a double piece of paracord on the "Cocoon" zip easy up easy down...

Due to work I have not had a chance to thank Ian publicly so Thanks for a great week end Ian Del (derek741) and I agree if it wasn't a 360 mile round trip, we would attend regularly

I'm definitely interested, but I have a question or two...
as a shift worker, I sometimes have to work weekends. Does that mean I might miss out on a weekend's camping for that month, or are the weekends moveable, or will there perhaps be more than one weekend available some months?

To answer your question Mick. The farmer intends using the wood for an air rifle range on the 3 weekends we are not using it. So, as to avoid confusion and any possible injury, we will stick to the dates that we have to sort out with the farmer.
If you work it out we are getting a very good deal. For the same price as Middlewood we would only get 5 monthe. I believe Brockwell is £8/night.

It's certainly a good deal from my point of view, I'm thinking of all the new skills I can pick up so I'm definitely up for it. The odd weekend missed will be more than made up for in terms of learning stuff, meeting new folk and so on. It's about a five/six mile walk over the moors from me, so it's too good an opportunity to miss!
