Steady on Stu, going a "bit light" is a move towards going ultralight :)

Its just for the RAT rather then use the 120 ltr, I woudl go smaller.. it just means I got to stuff thnigs in tighter...LOL

to be honest I am a subcriber to the "Just lose the gut, and get fiiter" if you want to make things easier rather then save a few gm's here and there.

Some times just think you should always try differnt ways of packing ect.. as you know I like to ring the changes :)

That will probably change, at least I hope it does, felling trees in the wind aint much fun even if they are only little ones

25 Litre pack for me with a couple of bottle holders on the side and sleeping bag underneath, seems to work for me. I cant wait for the weekend windy and wet or not.

Can people bring there loppers, billhooks and bow saws along so we can get the wood for the shelter down and processed as quickly as poss, I fear it is going to be a wet one.

No problem the bow saw is only for felling really as the stuff we are after isn't very big, loppers or bill hook for snedding and the drawknife is for rinding the poles.
