Group meal list for the Group Meeting of 5th and 6th July 2013. Meal will be on the night of the 6th.

The meal will be my trademark Chicken Stir Fry (it's better than it sounds, I assure you) made fresh on the day. There will need to be two batches if there are more than 5 eating, but this is easily done as it doesn't take so long to make :)

Please copy this entire post and add your name to the list:

2 Night Monthly Suffolk Bushcraft Group Meeting 5th and 6th July 2013

All Welcome, Newbies, all levels of experience, Tree and Ground Dwellers.

Location
A 10 Acre mixed Woodland that is very quiet and secluded, and lends itself to wild camping, both in Hammocks and Tents, just outside of the village of Stansfield,

Regulars that have been to the Site before - 12:00 onwards - report at Bayents Farm before going to the woods.
New commers to Site - Meet at H. E. Dennis & Son, Bayments Farm, Stansfield, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 8LN. 14:00 hrs, normally finishing about midday on the Sunday. Please be on time as the Woodland is hard to find.

Cost
The Camp Site charge is £10 per person for the Weekend, fees for the site to be paid to me (Big Stu) as you arrive, this will have to be in cash.

Under 18s
Are welcome to attend, they are the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian that they came to the meet with.

Behaviour
Our meets, are good natured and light hearted, with safety in mind, we aim to carry this on with self regulation, if it does not then the offending person will be asked to leave immediately.

Facilities
This is a very wild site...The nearest Toilets, Shower are back at the Bayments Farm Yard, the nearest Tap is about a 600m from the Woodland.

Personal Hygiene - there is NO toilets in the woodland, apart from the ones at the Farm, please bring your Hygiene kits, there is a Group Latrine that is to be used in all cases, it is a requirement of the Landowner.

There is a lean to one man natural shelter that can be used, if you would like to use it for a night, that would be on a first come, first serve basis, it may need re-roofing prior to use. There is also a Shave horse for use as well that was made as a group project.

Housekeeping
There is no Facility to leave rubbish on site or at the farm, please bring a Rubbish Bag for your waste and take it home; we have had occasions were other peoples pitches have been cleaned up by others, You Carry In – You Carry Out.

Fire Places and Fire scar’s to be kept to a minimum, this will depend on activities, if you make a Fire Scar for any reason, other than communal one, then it is your responsibility to clean it up, The Main communal Fire is Everyone’s responsibility to clean up after.

Vehicles and Access and Parking to site
Due to the amount of cars and access being required by the landowner, cars can go to the woodland to drop off and pick up kit, then back to parking area for the duration of the stay, the Car Parking for the woodland will be about 800m away from the woodland in the Land owners Yard, please do not block Gates and Barn doorways,

If the ground is too wet then, most of the gear will have to walked in, I can arrange for help for people that cannot walk that far due to a health reason, I need to know this in advance.

Group Meal,
The Group meal will be provided by Simon, Thank you for the offer of that Simon, please can you start a group meal list.

(The Group meals are supplied but the person making them, then the cost is divided between the participants, please remember Cash is required) Last couple have been a Curry by Kirkland, and a Spit Roast by Paul, thank you both.

In case of Unforseen events that may cause there to be no group meal, please allow in your catering for that emmergency meal.

Due to a number of Questions that have been raised via Email, Text, Message, Forum ect... about the Air Guns and Archery, I feel that I have to clarify the position, as it is being offered as a Bonus activity for Regular attendee's only.

The shooting is only an additional activity that will be done as a side line to Bushcraft and is NOT going to be run as a Main Activity, we are on Probation with it so we will stick to any conditions that are made, or requests by the land owner in the use of them and who can use them, by a Regular to the group we are meaning someone that has regularly attended meets for 4 meets in a 12 month period.

Archery will only become available when we know the Land Owner is happy with the Airguns and then we will look to getting targets for that, only the lower powered Bows will be able to be used when the time comes.

The Land owner is shall we say cautious about these activities, and is only allowing them as the group has shown interest and asked, and he has interest in Bushy Crafts, and would like to see the group grow, we will have to build up the trust, that's the reason for the restrictions, and I trust that all Existing members of the group will respect and back them.

I have worked hard to find this Permission, the group is doing well in taking part in being a great group, I will work to keep it for the benefit of the group, and do not want to see it lost, due to not sticking to a couple of rules, and keeping with in a few simple guidelines.

Sorry if it seems a downer or a kill joy.

I've just been informed that my woodland is available to use this Friday, Saturday and Sunday if anyone's interested in joining me!

It's all in bloom, there's parking, a communal fire pit (with benches), plenty of great pitch sites etc (no on-site water, no on-site toilet so a latrine will be dug down in the ditch which offers full privacy really)

Let me know if you're interested :)

In the rush, to unwrap and start on the Sheath, I've picked up the Pattern I made for the silky, and cut it out back to front so will have a left handed one..... dont matter tho, it will still work, lol.... or when its done I may just put it up for sale and see if a left handed Silky Owner will buy it.. lol

Always good to get on the leather work , I quite enjoy it

I can see loads of woody projects next meet, lol

I got the rest of the bits for my GoPro camera today (including the extended battery packs I wished I had at the last meet) so those will come to good use :)

My Zebra Lunch Box thing hasn't turned up yet, though... and that's annoying me (especially as the GoPro stuff came from The Netherlands to my house in under 24 hours, meanwhile the Zebra thing is less than 100 miles away and still isn't here)

Anyway... going to watch "Man of Steel" tomorrow, then picking up the Bergen and off to the woods to try out some different gear and pitch.

Ditched the ground tarp I've been using for the Bergen cover that came with my Karrimor (it's large enough, packs smaller, and is about one-tenth of the weight), and substitued other items to reduce weight and bulk :)

+1 to that Stu. It's not being a killjoy. They are the rules, abide or go elsewhere.
