Ozzy that target is ok but you will shoot it out after a short amount of time. Bales are great to use and if you wrap them they can last forever. Or a burlap bag with rags-old clothes in I find they work very well also. Or a box find with yellow pages and Argos books work well. Before you buy a bow ozzy did you want to borrow my 45lb Jerry Hill AFB? You are most welcome to try it out with some arrows to see how you get on at that weight?

Thanks for the offer Cromm but 45 is far too much for me at the mo, I tried a AFB recently (45lbs) and it was a struggle to pull it back. The 30lb bow I tried at the weekend felt just right, I know I will out grow it but I have to build up the strength after tearing a load of muscles in my back and neck a couple of years ago in a car crash.

Good idea about the bag filled with old clothes, lucky for me the wife had a sort out in the airing cupboard the other day and we have a bin bag full to get rid of:)

Yes ozzy normally first weekend of the month. I have a few of the bags which I will pace in different places to shoot at, plus a wooden frame with a big bag hanging down from it which works very well.

Yeah I guess so Stu. I have been doing it for a while. I have lots of paper targets which you can use if you need them? Bear, boar, wolf, deer, turkey, pheasant, hare, rabbit, jay, raven, squirrel and ring targets. Most are the reinforced type but I normally glue them onto roofing waterproof/underlay stuff which makes them last a very long time. If you are leaving the paper targets on the backstop the slugs will be all over them in no time at all.
For ease the bags work really well and are next to no money to repair or replace, but it is fun to shoot at the 3d targets as you can try and get your eye right in.

Yeah Ill not beleaving the paper ones out, i must say i like the 3d's, def makes a differnce, i could not beleive how much more fun it was, then 2d.. When I used to shoot with Tudor Feild Archers it used to be black and white paper bosses that you stuck to flatened cardbord boxes.... Lol so ots come quite a long way..... :)

Yeah I have a hare 3d and a rat, racoon that I love to shoot at. Ive asked for the 18/1 target for xmas as I like the idea of being able to pick it up throw it and then shoot at whatever side comes up.

Yeah, I would normally place a 3d somewhere and then move around it and shoot from different distances and angles. But I kind of like the idea of the 18/1 target. I know that is why Oakwood is so popular with people, it is because of the 3d targets.

I don't think there is much to choose between them, but I believe the dd one is moor popular. The DD has more attachment points having 2 along the middle making it more versatile.

Amjake I have both DD front line and Highlander Nomad Hammock, out of the 2 I prefer the nomad and it was only £39 from amazon with a 3x3 Tarp. I find the DD a bit heavy and bulky although it has done me well. The Nomad is lighter, has a net, packs down smaller and has a handy pocket on the side. The Tarp is fine in diamond shape but not many tie out points.
