Should be an interesting meet. As you can see there is going to be a bit of construction going on.
We are going to build an A frame shelter. (I use the term 'We' very loosely).
You'll enjoy it. It's a lovely bit of woods.

Just be mindful of what your packing. If it carries on raining like this I won't be able to get the car to the site.

Bring a chair if you can. I have a spare if you need it.

Hmm construction you say... I could help with the tea? or help lift things. That is the safest bet!

I will just be taking the new bag + a sleeping bag, need to test some kit out!

I am Hedgecrafters +1. Just thought I would join up and post to say hi to everyone.

My knowledge of Bushcraft is extremely limited to the survival crafts and I am keen to know more. I don't have a huge amount of building skills but I am happy to provide muscle or get out of the way and help hedge with the cooking!

Can anyone of you remember the size of the Tarps for the Shelter?

was the overall size think it was 5m x 7m or that just one Tarp..... my mind is fuddled......

I got a feeling we need two of these

Once again, I'm begging for a ride. Steve can't make the meet, but I can, assuming I find a lift. I'm in Luton and can make the M1 at Junction 11.

If someone is driving up from the south, then I can probably make to somewhere along your route. Anyone??

The nearest Train station is Bury St Edmunds, We sometimes have peeps come from london way, I am from Ipswich, work in Bury and I go stright from work to the site on friday.

Spoiled myself and bought an anglers bed, tried it at home, super comfy but ain't fitting in the bergan. Should be experimenting with it next week. (Assuming I haven't been able to order the new hammock by then.) oh the joys of having financial stabilty for a while!
