I keep seeing the little badge / icon for a 'Sub Zero Crew'
Whats that all about?...And having done my Arctic Warfare Cadre Course do I have the right to use the icon...lol

It started as a way of publicising the fact that some of us liked getting out in the cold. This was before we got the Sub Zero sub forum.

Now things seem to have caught on but there is nothing cliquey about it. If you want one, drop me a PM and I'll send you the artwork to include in your signature.

On the subject of sub-zero is there ever a thought of doing a uk based weekend event, Cairngorms or similar? I would like todo something like this but don't have the resources to fund a foreign trip!

A few of us head that way every winter, the price of fuel though to get to Scotland and back makes flying to the arctic and back seem cheap.

indeed. fuel for me to go cairngorm would be in the order of £350. flights to oslo and train to gatwick - £105.

( I find Scotland in winter harder in many ways!! )
