which side is which on a dc3? don't want to use it until i'm sure, and i was always told 'if you don't know, ask'

Yep Neil, but be aware that the colour is now slightly gold rather than silver.

Basically the diamond side will be metallic (that's the rough) and the synthetic sapphire is the thicker brown bit (that's the smooth).
