Stone carving and polishing gem stones

Slightly off bushcraft topic but does anyone know of any courses or persons in London area who teaches Semi precious stone carving and polishing. My partner would like to learn the skills.

The thought of that takes me back to the 70's. From memory nearly every second house we seemed to visit had a stone tumbler whirring away in the background. Used to have great fun gathering the stones and setting them in wire and the likes.
