Looking for a metal mug, but the crusader cup is too pricey, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

If you want a very simiar one to Crusader you can pick up dutch metal mugs cheaper
eg e bay item no 320330496447

If you want a metal mug with folding handles Gelert make a stainless steel one
eg e bay Item number: 220315025231
or a slightly bigger aluminium pot /mug 500mls
e bay Item number: 200289807104

Hope thats useful

Only thing is they burn yer lip when hot and go cold too quick at this time of year :) I use a cheap thermo coffee type thing, about 2 quid from the services. Great in summer rubbish in winter..

Isn't there something you can put around the top of the mug to stop it burning your lip..........electrical insulation tape??

Another vote for the crusader cup, and at £10 well worth it, but drinks do go cold quickly, so I often transfer the drink to another cup like the plastic one that comes with the 58 pattern water bottle. The same is true of my (other) favourite enameled mug.

Bit cheeky of them (BCB) the price is 13.95 on their website.

Wonder what the chances are of turning up at their place in Splott and getting one for £7.50. Though it'd probably cost me more than £2.50 to get down there.

i have a crusader in the black 'non stick' and dont find the fact drinks get cold quickly a problem, in fact i think its an advantage because i cant drink tea when its just been boiled and it saves waiting for it to cool down a bit. most of the non stick paint on mine has either peeled off or melted so make sure you get the plain steel one althow it does give it charactor:) lol

if youre using a 58 type bottle then by all means pay a tenner for a crusader/type mug that fits. .. . but if you aint, its an awkward shaped, top heavy mug . . . go to pound shop and theres loads of half pint/litre mugs if you aint fussed about there being a handle on it, folding handles cost more
