It's nice to know that some of the mobile phone companies make some effort to reduce the visual impact of their masts.

This one near where I live is cunningly disguised as a Scots Pine!

That's one provided by the Three network. Come complete with leaves that can be "opened" in spring. Pity they didn't do more.

Do the builders/owners of commercial communications towers there (be they cell phone towers, commercial radio towers, tv towers, etc.) rent space on their towers to other users? An example of what I'm talking about is a local radio station here lets our local ham club place and maintain our 2 meter repeater on their tower. Likewise I believe the Sheriff's Office and the county school system has their radio repeater on on of the commercial towers as do various other local dispatchers and cab companies.
