I have eaten fried bugs in Thailand - crispy and salty ... OK but not great...
I have eaten cooked worms and spiders in the UK and they too are OK...
I have eaten snails in France, shellfish in Europe and the UK and tofu in Thailand - horrible!

Really, I like it It's tasty, adaptable, easily flavoured, can be creamy, chewy or crispy, sweet, sour or savoury, it's the ultimate low weight, high protein food......and it doesn't go rancid like jerky can either.

though in this company I'd be better offering the bird food I suppose
Do you think those crispy critter things smell as bad as the dried mealworms I feed the birds ?

whats all the fuss mealworms are tasty like chewed up cashew nut paste :-D, woodlice have a shrimpy taste, dried worms taste like bacon rind... once you get over what they are some bugs are quite tasty...
