Snails Galore.

Has anyone else noticed a massive number of small snails in their area or is it just me? My office backs onto a hedgrow and beyond that the fields, and there are little garden-pea-sized snails everywhere outside the door, all up the wall, all over the car outside, everywhere. There must be tens of thousands of the little perishers. It's a good job they aren't in the slightest bit threatening or it would be like something out of a Hitchcock film!
Perhaps it's the unusually mild, wet weather thats led to them all surviving to be seen now?

I've seen it once before,
When we lived in the sunny south - a gathering of many thousands of them, one mild damp evening. They were all over the car park and before I knew it, I had driven over hundreds of them, it was difficult to walk out of the middle of the gathering without stepping on a few!
