Small containers of antiseptic cream

Well, I am resorting my kitchen kit and have decided to put in a mini FAK.

I never seem to have one to hand (though I have several) so it makes sense. (Tony can no doubt tell me how many times he has caught me without one)

I purchased a few mini ones at a local store, little red zipper pouches. (they are about £1.50)

They contain a bandage, gauze pack, plasters, alcohol wipes, safety pins, (most usefully) a latex glove pair (perplexingly) quite a few cotton buds.

And room in the pouch (particularly after the ear buds have gone)

So i am putting in a few more plasters, finger bandages, and some ibroprofen.

A bit like my (better quality) pouch I keep in my Uni Bag.

But I would like to add antiseptic cream, -I just need a very small pack size.

Where would I get it?

Ah, this came up on another forum recently.
It's impossible to find anything medical in single use sachets in the EU/UK.
Suspect it's some EU law.

Whilst in the US you can buy med refill packs with all basic pills, lotions and creams in. It's a bit annoying.

I decant vaseline /sudacrem etc into small pots that are readily available from Ebay and such sites ....

A tube of germoline from poundland is very small, if still to big you could squeeze the contents into a small 15ml tin, a used tealight candle tin covered with tin foil, a used vasaline tin, also from poundland. Another option would be to cut down a used toothpaste tube, clean it, melt the open end closed then squeeze in an amount from the other tube, if that makes sense.

The travel bottle sets sometimes come with a little tub for face cream etc.
sudocrem does come in small tubs, frequently freebies at baby events but maybe sold in the travel toiletries section of boots

Vaseline, or generic white petrolatum in sachets is one of the only things you can get. And even then in only boxes of 100 or more.

"The Works" high street craft shop sells small self sealing bags (7cm x 9cm) in packs of fifty for £1.
Sudocrem is £2.45 at Home Bargains for a 125 gram pot, so say about ... 5g / 1 teaspoon per bag is 25 single use sachets.

Seems it might not be the law, but on a list of medications only available by prescription.
So people in Poland can by sachets of triple antibiotic ointment, http://www.tribiotic.pl/ over the counter but would be considered prescription only here.

That's because once it's opened and some used it's no longer sterile and starts to deteriorate. Advice if you've got to use an opened tube is squeeze a generous amount out, discard it and hope the fresher stuff is still good

Yeah pretty sure it's the reason why vaseline sachets are available, largely for tattoo places to ensure sterile.

Im going to see if I can find one of those mini Sudocrem pots, maybe contact the company? They are a huge price on Ebay.

I used some really small tines with screw tops i got off ebay. About 2 inch by 1 inch i think. My bottle of ethanol fuel gel doubles as antiseptic for cuts. In the tin goes a cream for bites, stings, rashes and itches.

Remember too if you transfer antiseptic cream from it's original container into a smaller container, you might as well use dog muck on your wounds.
Honey has antiseptic properties, so a few sachets of that would do just as well if you want to go down the cream route.

I use a small tube of Germolene. Not all that big. I must say it doesn't seem to work like the Germolene of old though, much thinner.
