Work is a pita at the mo. So seriously in need of exhilaration and I'm looking for some "wow" moments that I can easily achieve. (So skydiving is out I'm afraid).

It can be as simple as looking up at the stars on a cloudless night, or lying back on a summers day and cloud watching.

Wow moments.... What takes your breath away?

Grinding pepper into hot oil (should be banned, not something I'll aim to do again  :( ).
Using a (push)bike in the snow and ice ~ quite entertaining, mildly disturbing and far more fun than inhaling pepper fumes    :yikes: .

Been there, slid across 4 lanes of a dual carriage way on my side as the lights turned green... People just drove around me!

another one for a push bike.........

pedal down the road then cross your arms over so that your right hand is holding the left bar grip and your left hand holding the right bar grip.....

In which case try peppering the oil :p :stretcher::lmao:

I've learned the best way of demonstrating the difference between kinetic energy and inertia and the effect of friction on both ... stick a bike on an ice covered hill ~ first up, then down. And include a lesson in risk assessment by having a major junction at each end :yikes: .

Visiting a big old cathedral does it for me too. I'm not religious in any way but I'm awestruck by what the stone masons and engineers of the time achieved. Lincoln cathedral was built in 1311 and remained the tallest building in the world for 238 years, only losing the title as the spire collapsed!

+1 to that, for the same reasons. It's a bit of a trek but Wells is worth a visit. The tower started to lean so they rectified it with a system of cross buttresses to shift the weight.

Unexpected views of great natural beauty, from a grand vista to looking at a snowflake: suddenly understanding a new skill: great art: standing alone in some of mans ancient constructions from a windswept stone circle to a great cathedral.

A nice sunset always takes my breath away.

And I have a memory that stuck with me since I was a kid: Huge electrical storm when I was at a small café in the seaside with my parents. Never saw anything like that in my entire life!
