I wanted to make sure i had some wood to mess about with over Christmas and i finally tracked a tree surgeon down who had some in his yard. I agreed to collect and ended up driving off with what i reckon to be about 200 kilos in the boot of my Toyota Aygo

I put my watch in the picture for size reference.


now what to do with It???

Those rounds will split if just left like that. You might try just halving them to help reduce the splitting. You can then make bowls or other things from them. Looks like a spoon or two in that branch.

I use a wrecking knife most days. It is not the tool to split rounds with. Just use an axe, maul or wedge. A large froe would work.
