shot in a pot (stew)

hiya gang

so for tonights tea which is currently cooking i made shot in a pot in it went

carrots
spuds
celary
garlic
turnip
beef
bacon
rosemary
corianda
a bottle of red wine

so what would you put in yours

That is almost exactly what I had on Sunday but I had venison and pheasant in mine instead of beef and thyme instead of corriander. Oh and I put some juniper berries in and a good slug of sloe gin instead of some of the wine. Enough leftovers for lunch yesterday too.

Slow cooked mine for most of the day.

Just curious as to what Juniper berries taste of? or infuse/add rather.

Worked in the catering trade, but i cant remember a single kitchen ever stocking any.

Juniper berries cracked and added to a salt rub (home cured bacon/ham) impart a nice flavour. I just buy a jar.
