I am not a big fan of bi-coloured leather - but I think the design and decoration are BRILL!
Once again you inspire me to copying......

fantastic work as always and the tooling is superb. Like Silverback says, it has a vintage aged look it. But personally i'm not keen in the design of the sheath.

Is there anything to stop the knife cutting through the stitching? As with not much of the handle covered any sidewards movement will apply pressure on it, and with a sharp knife im guessing it will eventually cut through it.

Thanks guys.

This was made to test out some ideas. But unfortunately not all of it work.

Is there anything to stop the knife cutting through the stitching? As with not much of the handle covered any sidewards movement will apply pressure on it, and with a sharp knife im guessing it will eventually cut through it.

That's always a danger with all sheaths. But once you tighten the stitches up on the welt, it becomes a denser material and resist cuts better. It's also designed to swing a little when sideway force is applied.

Thank you

A bit 'busy' for my own personal taste but beautiful nonetheless. Good craftsmanship. I like the way the retaining strap (don't know what it's really called  ) is attached at the back. Alot of sheaths tend to have it glued or stitched on which makes it stick up when unfastened, making it vulnerable to being accidentaly cut when removing/replacing the knife.
Looks like alot of thought and talent went into making it. :)

As a bit of an after-thought - perhaps showing it on a different coloured background would bring out the colours of the sheath better. All that red is a bit over-powering and the picture probably doesn't do it justice.

Yup the knife is a lovely shape. I love it but it's rather thick at the spine. Will work on that slowly.

Here's a photo of the old sheath next to the new one.
