i think he is just being cautious. I have heard it said you can wear a sharp sgian dubh as it is part of the national dress but its a pretty large fixed blade i dont think i would want to be caught with one even when im in my full kit. still....tis a real shame to have a beaty damascus blade and then to blunt it

Nice work. :)

Pretty pointless blunting it i think. Reason being, the fixed and lock knife rule is more about them being able to be used as a stabbing weapon. The edge isn't really the concern. :)
