Sewing machine

I've been hand sewing for donkey's years pre-teens really but tonight I mastered the use of my Aunts old sewing machine! My mother assured me though that I couldn't be called a stitcher until I'd had the needle go through my finger, here's to avoiding that. Right roll on the canvas, the cordura and the ripstop nylon, happy days

Funnily enough, I have just taught myself the basics with a sewing machine my Mother In Law gave me. Made a ridgeline bag and a pair of snakeskins in the last couple of days. Satisfying isn't it!

Good for you Scoman.
I recently took up sewing again and made myself a good size canvas tarp along with an end piece to close one end and a canvas ground sheet.
I used it at the last Sussex meet and found it a great piece of kit.
