sack patterns

My little hemp daysack is getting knackered, anyone got patterns for making a new one ? - I've got a lot of denim off cuts that might come in handy and I quite enjoyed making myself a camera bag the other day.

should I really be getting into sewing?

There is a book for making your own outdoor gear, that has patterns for everything, published for DofE awards, I think its called "Making your own outdoor equipment" (I've lent my copy to someone!).
Your other alternative is to dismantle your currant daysack and use it as a pattern to make a new one.

trouble with dismantling my existing one would be being sackless until I complete the new one- and it's just about holding together for now.

Aha! I just did a search for the book title on Google and didn;t find it -
but I did find this:
