Quarter to four in the morning, in January, and there are robins singing outside
It's below freezing out there, we have heavy fog and the earlier snowfall is still lying crisp and white.
It's not that bright, but it seems to have triggered the robins to wake up :sigh:
They woke me up too
Daft birds.

Alone now.
5:30 am here pitch black outside and the birds are sounding off like it's mid day. Someone should tell these guys it's still dark outside and they should have a lie in.

Must admit waking up to the birds is lovely we always have our bedroom window open so we get more or less full volume. I particularly love robin.

Love birdsong in the morning, though I am often awake before them, but got awoken by a woodpecker (Great Spotted) trying to drill holes in the oak frames of our cottage last month, boy does that sound carry!
Had to nip out and tell him to knock it off.:D

I've always found in my daily early morning walks that Robins are consistently the early risers and singers of our bird population (in the UK at least).
