Richard Briers Dies

What a thoroughly good actor and all round nice guy.

I loved him in The Good Life as we all did I'm sure, but also in "Monarch of the Glen". A genuinely great actor whose smiles were not at others expense.

I will miss him greatly - he reminded me of what a man should be in the characters he played - and by all accounts how we was in real life. I wish I was more like him.

The 'Good Life' was a favorite bit of telly when I was a lad, he was an accomplished stage actor too. Sad news.

Real shame he bas passed on.
Good life although before my time first time it was shown is a classic. And an inspiration too.
Other roles he played were just as good.
He'll be missed

Tis a damn shame as he was not only a brilliant comic actor but also
a great classical stage actor.Saw him do King Lear at RSc years ago
and he was superb.
As you say too Red , seems to have been a very lovely guy as well.
At least his legacy is timeless : Good Life still makes me laugh out loud
in spite of having watched every episode a dozen times at least.

I last saw him in "cockneys V`s Zombies" pretty funny.
Very cool fellow in real life so it seems.
