I have some British Army Soldier 95 Goretex Jacket and Trousers and they are in need of some care and attention.

I know you can heat them with a hot pan to "re-energise" them but is there not a product like Nikwax that will do a better job?

If so what would you reccomend?

Thanks

The Nikwax reproofer is easy to use. All you have to do is spray it all over the garment. Leave it for a few minutes to soak in and then wipe off the surplus with a damp cloth.
It does help if you can put it in the tumble dryer on a low heat too.

The reason I prefer the spray on opposed to the wash in version is that you can apply more protection to areas that need it such as shoulders. Plus I think the wash in would coat the garment inside and out, therefore reducing the already limited breathability.
