Waterproof jacket recommendations

For waterproofs, I go for a single layer with no insulation whatsoever, and I only put it on as a last line of defence if it gets rainy or extremely windy, or when static. On the move, a waterproof -no matter how 'breathable' it's advertised as- will likely be hot and clammy and you'll soon be swimming in your own sweat, so you want something that's just one layer with no insulation, as many vents as possible, and you want to be slightly cooler in it when on the move.
I didn't see it on the original first post and it may have been covered further down the thread, but what do you want it for?
