I've got a couple of machete's that have got the original wooden handles on them, but they aren't the right size for my hand and to be frank are a little agricultural.

I want to change the handles for something a little more custom made, but have never done this sort of thing before so was after some advise on how the handles are fixed to the tang?

Making the handles is no problem, just the best way of fixing them....

One is a Martindale No2 the other is a Tramontina.

Cheers
Toby

they are fixed with rivets/pins and glue then filed and sanded to the desired shape!

simple once you get the hang of it!
