As per thread title I am looking into the possibilities of one device for multiple tasks: torch / air rifle rabbiting lamp, but not in the usual sense.
My main lamping lamp has died.
I use a night vision device (separate to the gun) to find likely targets and to get within range.
Ideally what I am looking for is something I can scope mount with a pressure switch to turn it on so that as I bring the gun up on target I can press the switch and the torch will allow me to complete the last stage of mounting the gun and taking the shot. As soon as the shot has been taken the torch would be knocked off again, and then the whole exercise would be repeated.
Prerequisites are small in size, light, weatherproof and with a focus beam I can bring down to a fairly narrow width at under 40 yards.
It has to have a pressure switch mod available and, other than that, I don't much care about anything else.
I have lots of AA and D rechargeables and, for obvious reasons, I would rather stick with the smaller batteries.
Any thoughts ?
Keep in mind that this is not lamping where the torch is the main light source - the torch is simply used at the last moment to take the shot.
Over to you.
