(Re)Dyeing after oiling

i've given two belts, two or so coats of fiebings pro oil dye and then, thinking it was fine, i've given them 3 coats of neat's foot oil.

however on closed inspection, in better light, i can see they're a bit pale in some areas.

can i successfully add further coats of dye, or is it too late?

i would try it and see how it goes it should be ok but who knows till ya try it..... ;P
