R.I.P. James Herbert (author)

Hi Folks, I've been haunting this place on and off all day after a looooong absence and while looking at some other stuff online noticed an article that said James Herbert, the Horror author had died at 69 years of age. No details of how, but it was peaceful at his home with is wife and 3 kids.

I read several of his books The Fog, Rats Trilogy, 48 and a couple of others and he never ceased to keep me riveted... and sometimes awake at night. Love 'em or hate 'em Horror books are still good sellers.

R.I.P. Mr Herbert. Thanks for those sleepless night.

Very sad news, when I was reading The Rats I spent one night in a tent and I did not sleep a wink, every little rustle and noise scared the hell out of me. Great books, well worth a read.

I never read the books. But I do remember the movie, The Fog. Fantastic film.

Yeah, I read quite a lot of his books when I was young, always knew you were going to get something good (from a young blokes perspective ) Him Morcock and a number of others.

Whilst I haven't read his books for a while like Tony I read a lot of them when I was younger.
48 was a classic.
