I have ocasionally seen a few photos of old axes from Scandinavia. They look a bit like edging spades (half moon shaped blade) and they have 2 tangs, which fit into a straight 2 handed handle. I suspect they are somehow connected with the ulu form somewhere back in history....Does any one know anything about them, what their scandinavian names are, any online links to facts and information about them. I find them very intriguing and would possibly be interested in making something like it myself.
cheers Jonathan :)
