I didn't get to see any of the autumn/early winter ones due to cloud cover. This one is supposed to have some of the brightest after the moon goes down. :)

I see at least one shooting star most nights when I'm walking the dog,( lack of cloud cover permitting) I've never seen an actual 'shower' though whenever a meteor shower is announced. A streak every 5 - 10 minutes doesn't constitute a shower in my book.especially when a shooting star a minute is advertised :D

The sky watchers amoung us should be in for a treat at the end of the year with this beauty http://earthsky.org/space/big-sun-diving-comet-ison-might-be-spectacular-in-2013
